Gonies
The village is located
16,5 km from the port
of Hersonissos at the
roots of the mountains of Lasithi. It is located at the entrance of two gorges:
the gorge of Panaghia and the gorge of Roza, one of the most beautiful gorges
of Crete. A path crosses the gorge of Roza and
connects the village Gonies with the village
of Kera. The natural beauties
of the area will award visitors, as well as the hospitality of the residents. Gonies maintains the character of an authentic
Cretan village. It produces olive oil, wine, and excellent dairy products.
